Some cells of a grid flash for 1 second plus 0.1 s per cell (at most 3 seconds), marked with a dot as well as colour. Then select the same cells — click, tap, or move with the arrow keys and press Enter.
Level 1 has 3 cells on a 3×3 grid. Each level adds a cell; the grid grows to 4×4, 5×5, 6×6 and 7×7, and at most half the cells are ever targets. Three wrong selections in a level cost a life and repeat the level with a new pattern. Three lives.
score = number of cells in the highest level completed
Patterns are random each time. A correct cell stays marked; a wrong one is shown with a dashed outline and a cross.
