A colour word (RED, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW) appears printed in an ink colour. Answer the ink colour, not the word — with keys 1–4 or the labelled buttons. Half the trials match (BLUE in blue), half conflict (BLUE in red).
Four practice trials first, then 24 scored. Each word appears after a short random pause and waits up to 3 seconds for an answer. Onset and response are timed like Reaction Time.
score = median response time of correct answers interference = median(conflicting) − median(matching) accuracy = correct ÷ trials × 100
Interference errors are wrong answers on conflicting trials — often the word was read instead of the ink. Timeouts count as errors.
