Number Typing test
Type the numbers as they appear.
30 seconds of short random digit groups. The timer starts with your first keystroke.
Needs a keyboard — a number row, numpad or on-screen keypad.
How this is measured
Type the groups of 3–6 random digits shown, separated by spaces, for 30 seconds from your first keystroke. Backspace is allowed. Each run uses new random digits.
Scoring
score = correct digits ÷ minutes accuracy = correct keystrokes ÷ all keystrokes × 100
Only digits count towards the score (the spaces between groups don't). Errors and consistency are calculated as in Typing Speed.
What can affect the result
- A numeric keypad is much faster than the number row; on phones, the numeric keypad helps too.
- Practice with data entry.
What this does not mean
- This measures number entry on this keyboard today — not numeracy or memory.
- It is not a medical, psychological, neurological or hiring assessment, and it cannot diagnose or screen for anything.
