Four marked positions are shown, each labelled with its key: D, F, J and K (or tap the position). After a short random wait one position lights up — brighter, filled and marked — and you press the matching key as fast as you can.
Each position appears equally often, in a random order. Three practice trials come first and aren't scored, then fifteen scored trials. The signal is timed exactly as in Reaction Time.
score = median RT of correct answers accuracy = correct ÷ trials × 100
Wrong keys and timeouts (no answer within 2 seconds) count against accuracy and have no response time. Presses before the signal are false starts and the trial is repeated.
