How the Daily Challenge works

Each local calendar date picks five of the six ability categories and one test from each, in a mixed order. The choice comes from a hash of the date, so everyone playing on the same date gets the same set — and the typing sprint uses the same words.

Only the choice of tests and the typing words follow the date. Everything that's measured — waiting times, sequences, patterns and target positions — is freshly random every time, so nobody can know an answer in advance, and a share card shows your results, never the answers.

Your first completed run of each test is that day's Daily result, and it can't be replaced. You can press Try again to practise: retries are saved to your normal history and can set personal bests, but the Daily result — and the Daily share card — always show the first run.

The date is fixed when you open the page, so a challenge you start before midnight (or before travelling across time zones) finishes as that day's. Progress is saved only in this browser. There are no streaks to protect — just a count of the days you played.
