A target drifts smoothly around the stage for 20 seconds. Keep your pointer — or your finger, pressed on the screen — on it. The run starts when you first touch or point at the target.
The target's position is a fixed function of elapsed time (a blend of slow sine waves with random frequencies), so it moves identically on 60 Hz and 144 Hz screens. Every animation frame, Human measures the distance from your latest pointer position to where the target is at that moment, weighted by the time since the previous frame.
score = time within the target ÷ total time × 100 distance = time-weighted mean distance from centre (in target radii)
While your pointer is off the stage (or your finger is lifted) you're off target. If the page is hidden or the browser stalls for more than 250 ms, the run is discarded.
